But anyway I've finally done it now and I have to say i'm proud of myself and I'm actually excited to begin this 'blogging journey' :-D..
Anyway I thought I'd start this blog by talking a bit about why I have called this blog 'third time lucky'.
So why third time lucky?
Well what can I say, basically I'm hoping to study medicine one day and I have just sent my application off (14th October) via UCAS and this will be my third time of applying. See below for the universities I've applied to...(in my next post I will talk a bit about why I have chosen these particular universities).

I applied the first time most hopeful medics apply, during studying for A2 levels but i was unsuccessful and got 4 straight rejections (I must admit I was a poor candidate back then now that I reflect back on it). I also applied more recently during my 3rd year of studying medical biochemistry which was last year (October 2010) and I was more successful then- I had one interview which I unfortunately flopped (but I have learnt so much from it) and got three straight rejections from the other unis I applied to. So yeah I've been pretty unsuccessful so far when it comes to applying for medicine...
And well now, I've completed my degree (completed it in July of this year) and achieved a first class honours and currently I'm on a gap year.
I didn't want to take a gap year nor did I plan for it as I had my eyes set on studying medicine but the more I think about the things I've planned to do during my gap year, the more I think that a year away from education may not be so bad after all. So yeah that's me really. I'm hoping that during this application cycle (2011/2012) I will be lucky enough to gain entry to begin my dreams of studying medicine...
Also, another reason why I have called this blog 'third time lucky' is because I recently passed my driving test, well on the 6th of August of this year, and that was on my third attempt (hence third time lucky). So I just feel like 'third time lucky' is fitting towards my life story hah!
So what am I doing at the moment then? Well I'm currently working as a healthcare assistant at my local hospital (I actually start on Tuesday), I will blog more about it when I've completed my first shift on Tuesday. I also have an interview for a role as a casenote services library clerk (which involves sorting out patient notes, so its an admin role) this Saturday which is exciting and if I get the job that will also be in the same hospital that I will be working as a healthcare assistant.. so yeah I have a few things to look forward to this week and no doubt lots to blog about :-)..
So yeah I think I've spoken about everything I've wanted to talk about and given a good (and rather long) introduction to myself..
Gonna go back to my lazy Sunday now and wait for X factor to start! (what a fun life I lead hah)
